About CitizenshipBound
CitizenshipBound is a free study site for people preparing for the civics portion of the U.S. naturalization test. The site has no sign-up and no paywall, and it works well on a phone.
Where the questions come from
Every civics question and official answer on this site comes directly from the study materials published by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). As a U.S. government work, they are in the public domain. We copy them word for word from the official documents and rebuild our data from those sources rather than retyping them. The answers that change with elections, such as the name of the President, follow the USCIS civics test updates page. Each one shows the date it was last updated.
What we add
On top of the official list, we add study tools and original material: flashcard and multiple-choice practice, mock interviews scored the same way as the real test, a record of the questions you miss, and a short explanation of the history or reasoning behind each 2025 question. The explanations are there to help you understand and remember the answers. They don't replace the official answers USCIS accepts.
Independence
CitizenshipBound is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to USCIS or any other government agency. Nothing on this site is legal advice. For questions about your own application, check uscis.gov or talk to a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative.
